Codito, ergo sum

Well, I am yet another Jack of the programming trade. I write software and I find the art very enjoyable. Being a citizen of the earth I should also try and conserve the Ozone layer, save the the river dolphins of Brahmaputra from extinction, et cetra ;-), but alongside my (so far futile) attempts at climbing up the Maslows need hierarchy, I've been working work for NetApp in Bangalore.

Not long ago, and for quite some time, I was at UbiNetics (now Cambridge Silicon Radio), loathed and loved for being a royal pain in the wrong place and troubling people with philosophical issues in software engineering. I was also involved in the development effort of GSM/GPRS Access Stratum for a Multi Mode (GSM/GPRS + UMTS) Mobile Terminal. Prior to my association with UbiNetics, I did GPRS data stack work, a little bit of Bluetooth and a wee bit of WAP at Hughes Software Systems (now Aricent) in Gurgaon (Near New Delhi, India).

Essentially, computer science is what I do and I enjoy it quite a lot (at this point, if you are terribly bored and wondering what my geek code is, check out my decoded geek code). The 'stuff section' of this website has a few reports and documents that I wrote, like ... A HOWTO for using the DataOne ADSL broadband service offered by BSNL in India, using gdb to track memory errors reported by recent versions of glibc, things you should be looking for if you are buying a PC etc.

I am not interested in any [now say that thrice] job opportunities at the moment. But if you are interested in giving me an ego boost, do take a look at my Curriculum Vitae. Purely for your viewing pleasure, the CV is also available in [txt], [ps] and [pdf] formats.
